Sendra is a tailor made core flood simulator developed to get the best out of your special core analysis experiments. Sendra has been developed in close cooperation with universities and the oil industry during more than 20 years. Particular focus has always been with a close relation to the experimental features of special core analysis.
Sendra is a two-phase core flow simulator specially designed to simulate and verify SCAL experiments. It covers all common experimental approaches including Unsteady-state and steady-state flow experiments as well as single-speed and multi-speed centrifuge experiments. It can be utilized for oil-water experiments as well as gas-oil or gas-water experiments; both imbibition and drainage processes.
The main application in Sendra is to determine relative permeability and/or capillary pressure from laboratory data either through an automated history matching approach or analytical methods like JBN and Hagoort. However, Sendra can simulate all common SCAL-experiments and will thus be an important tool for planning and accomplishment of you SCAL experiments.
Sendra is not a brand new commercial product, but have been in the SCAL-marked for more than 10 years. It was launched commercially in 1992, however stronger focus on marketing and further commercialisation started in 1996. Having been in the SCAL-marked for more than ten years, we feel to have a good idea of the industries needs. Following the marked over these years and feedback from all our customers has probably made the annual improvements in the right direction. Reslab Integration acquired Sendra in 2007. Being a part of the SCAL-team within the Weatherford-group we will ensure that Sendra develops toward the SCAL-industry needs in the coming years.
Sendra was initiated at IRIS (former RF-Rogaland Research). Developments were performed in close cooperation with Texas A&M University (USA), the University of Bergen (Norway) and the oil industry. This cooperation - which mainly took place in the first half of the nineties - integrated knowledge and expertises from all institutes. Further a lot of our customers have compared output from Sendra with their own in-house products as well as with reservoir simulators.
During the years we have published a number of papers at international conferences and publications; the developments of Sendra, numerical SCAL-studies by use of Sendra and last but definitely not least the use of experimental SCAL data to be processed with Sendra.
